Excise Inspector Salary 2026: Monthly & In-Hand Payment

 In 2026, the Excise Inspector will be on Pay Level 07, with a Pay Band of PB-2 (9300-34800), Grade Pay being 4600. Basic pay has been scaled from Rs. 44,900 to 1,44,600. With a basic salary, the inspector enjoys DA amounting to Rs 23,797 which works out to 53 percent of the basic salary; HRA amounting to Rs 8,980 is 20% of the basic pay, and a Transport Allowance amounting to Rs 4,824. In addition to that is a one-time dress allowance amounting to Rs 10,000. It would be deducted by the sum of Rs 6,196 for the Provident fund (PF) and the sum of Rs 5,388 from NPS.
