Final selection is to be done based on a written examination and socio-economic and experience norms. The recruitment examination will be held online (CBT) or offline, depending on the suitability of applicants. In the written examination of the Haryana Gram Sachiv syllabus, there will be a total of 90 questions. For each correct answer, one mark will be awarded.

Furthermore, Gram Sachiv's written examination is divided into 2 parts: Part 1: 75% of general awareness, reasoning, math, science, computer, English, and Hindi; and Part 2: 25% of weightage for Haryana history, Haryana current affairs, Haryana literature, Haryana geography, Haryana civics, Haryana environment, Haryana culture, etc. The socio-economic and experience criteria weight 10 marks. HSSC Gram Sachiv Syllabus 2024: Selection Norms

The Haryana Staff Selection Commission will administer the written competition examination for the Gram Sachiv position to all applicants. The written test will be administered in one sitting. Multiple-choice questions will be the basis of every written examination paper (MCQ).

Haryana Gram Sachiv Syllabus Part 1: Written Exam

As explained above, the written examination is divided into 2 parts. Part 1st consists of the following topics. 

[ General Awareness (जागरूकता) ]

History: civilization and culture, medieval India, India’s freedom movement, and its leader's Geography: countries and their geographical information; famous ports and airports; and their locations. Polity: the administrative, legislative, and judiciary branches of our country (e.g., elections, parliament, etc.) Economy-budget terminologies, the economy of the country, monetary institutions, etc. Physics: laws, major inventions, and discoveries. Chemistry: characteristics of gases, atoms, and molecules in everyday life. Biology: important discoveries; interesting facts about human body parts; nutrition in animals and plants; diseases and their causes GK, Current Affairs

Alphanumeric series, reasoning analogies, blood relations, coding-decoding, directions, input-output, pattern series and sequences, syllogisms, etc.

[ Mathematics (गणित) ]

[ General Science (सामान्य विज्ञान) ]

Neither the applicant nor the applicant's family member is/was in any State  Govt Jobs or Central Govt Jobs.

If Applicant belongs to (Any One of these): -

  • Widow.
  • 1st or 2nd child, when his/her father died at the age of 42 years.
  • 1st or 2nd child, when applicant's father died when he/she was at the age of 15 years.
[ Experience: 8 Marks ]

Candidate severing or served on same or High Post in Department/Board/Corporation/Company/Statutory/ Commission/Authority or Government of Haryana. Half marks will be given for each year served.
