Kendriya Vidyalayas, commonly known as KVs, is a network of schools that come under the Ministry of Education and are financially supported by the Government of India. The admission process for KVs is different for different classes and is either online or offline. For class 9 admission, the selection is based on the merit of a 3-hour, 100-mark exam covering Hindi, English, Maths, Science, and Social Science. To be admitted to Class 11, a student must have a minimum of 55% marks in Class 10.

KV Admission 2023-24 Class 1st

The KV admission form for class 1st is expected to be available from February 2023-24 and the last date for registration is expected to be in April 2023-24. The first, second, and third lists for class 1st admission are expected to be released in April and May 2023-24, with a provisional list expected in May 2023-24. The last date for KV admission for classes 1-10 is expected to be in June 2023-24.

The students have to register within 10 days of the class 10th result declaration. The selection list is released within 20 days of the class 10 result declaration. Kendriya Vidyalaya Admission Online Form Age Limit

The age limit set for KV admission in class 1 is a minimum of 6 years according to the NEP 2020. The age limit for other classes till class 10 is given in the below table. There is no age limit for class 11 and class 12. There is one condition for classes 11th and 12th that there should be no gap of any year between their classes.

KV Admission 2023-24 Seat Reservations in Class 1

The Kendriya Vidyalaya Samiti has a number of different reservations for students who want to take KV admission in class 1st. The RTE category gets a reservation of 25%, students who belong to the SC category get 15% reservation, 7.5% for ST students, and 27% for the OBC-NCL category.
