The Sub-Inspector of Police (Communication) position in the Assam Police requires certain physical standards to be met in order to be eligible for the role. For the APRO position, the minimum height required for male candidates belonging to the General, OBC, MOBC, and SC categories is 162.56 cm, while for female candidates, it is 154.94 cm. For male candidates belonging to the ST(H) or ST(P) category, the minimum height requirement is 160.2 cm and for female candidates, it is 152.40 cm. Male candidates are also required to meet chest measurement standards, with a minimum of 80 cm (normal) and 85 cm (expanded) for the General, OBC, MOBC, SC, and ST(P) categories, and a minimum of 78 cm (normal) and 83 cm (expanded) for the ST(H) category.
For the Sub-Inspector of Police (AB) position, the minimum height requirement for male candidates belonging to the General category is 167 cm, while for female candidates it is 162 cm. For male candidates belonging to the OBC, MOBC, and SC categories, the minimum height requirement is 162 cm, while for female candidates it is 157 cm. For male candidates belonging to the ST(H), ST(P), or Gorkha categories, the minimum height requirement is 160.2 cm, while for female candidates it is 152.40 cm. Male candidates are also required to meet chest measurement standards, with a minimum of 85 cm (normal) and 90 cm (expanded) for the General, OBC, MOBC, SC, and ST(P) categories, and a minimum of 80 cm (normal) and 85 cm (expanded) for the ST(H) category.
